Eclipses
Eclipses show up in two places in the app.
Eclipses for 2 years
A section under the wheel, visible in both modes. Every solar and lunar eclipse for the next two years from today:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Date (local) | Date and time in the chart's time zone |
| Eclipse | Type (total, annular, partial, penumbral), solar or lunar |
| Position | The eclipse degree |
| Natal house | Which of your houses it falls in |
| Aspects to natal (1°) | Conjunctions and other aspects to your planets within 1° |
An eclipse that lands right on a planet or angle is traditionally a notable event of the year.
Eclipses: magnitude and visibility Pro
Event search has an “Eclipses: magnitude and visibility” block.
- Set the period with “From” and “to” at the top of the search (up to 100 years).
- Click “Find eclipses”.
For each eclipse the table shows the type, magnitude (as in the NASA catalog), the point of greatest solar eclipse, natal contacts, and visibility from your place of residence (if set) or birthplace: local maximum, phase there, and the altitude of the Sun or Moon. A row opens the chart at the eclipse date.
