Sun in the 11th House

Sun in the 11th house means you come alive in teams, communities and among like-minded people. You easily rally people around a shared idea and think years ahead. The main lesson of this placement is making sure being the life of the group doesn't replace your own goals and wishes.

What It Means

The 11th house rules friends, groups, hopes and the future, and the Sun shows where you look for yourself. With this placement your identity grows through the group: friends, collaborators and social causes. You know how to unite people and inspire them with a common goal. You often have a wide circle and useful connections. You think about the future and how to make people's lives better. The challenge is that you can melt into other people's plans and lose sight of your own personal desires. You're often the one who makes group projects happen.

Love and Relationships

In relationships, friendship with your partner and shared interests matter to you. You often meet through friends. Keep room for romance in the relationship, not only friendship and shared projects; it helps when a couple has mutual friends and a cause that connects you to others.

Work and Money

Teamwork, nonprofits, tech, social projects, networking and community building suit you. You're strongest when you're bringing people together and watching a shared idea become real.

With Challenging Aspects

Squares or oppositions to an 11th house Sun can bring disappointment in friends, conflict in groups or unrealistic dreams. Choose your circle consciously and turn dreams into concrete plans.

Strengths

  • Uniting people
  • A vision of the future
  • A wide circle of friends and contacts

Challenges

  • Getting lost in the group
  • Neglecting personal goals
  • Needing the group's approval

Advice

Choose friends and communities that share your values. Write down your personal goals separately from the group's. And turn your dreams into plans with milestones.
